The course was in excellent condition which was reflected in the results.

The winning pair was Steve Grinter and Peter Skene from Camperdown with 55 points.

Their card showed they were three over the card for the 18 holes which is a great result.

The runners-up were John Bertram and Phil Brown from Timboon on 47 points, followed by Warrnambool’s Ken Jane and Neil Smith on 46.

NAGA went to Bernie Sinnott and Pat Sinnott.

Nearest the pins: 5th Peter Skene, 7th Trevor Blackley, 10th Terry Coulaghan and 14th Kevin Etherton.

Four new members joined the ranks and were welcomed to the event.

The next event will be at Winchelsea on Tuesday, November 26.

Anyone interested in joining the Corangamite Veterans Golf Association is most welcome.

Players need to be over the age of 55 and hold a Golf Australia handicap.

This is a great way to play different courses across the region and meet other like-minded golfers.
