A comic take on dating app culture

A CLASSIC fairy tale saw a modern twist last Friday when the one-woman show ‘Tinderella and The Eight Unique Uses of Tinder’ came to Camperdown’s Theatre Royal.

The show, created and performed by Albury–Wodonga-based Alyce Fisher, saw a comedic and musical take on the modern dating app culture.

Corangamite Shire Council acting manager economy and prosperity Samantha Fox said the show proved to be an enjoyable night out for shire residents.

“With around 50 people in attendance, it was a good turnout and audiences responded warmly to a performance that was genuinely funny, engaging and easy to watch,” she said.

“The production offered a modern twist on a classic story, with a strong performance and sharp comedic timing keeping the audience entertained throughout.

“The evening created a relaxed and light-hearted atmosphere, giving people the opportunity to connect.

“Events like this are particularly important in our communities, as they activate local venues, support the arts and contribute to the overall vibrancy and wellbeing of the shire.”
