A day of fun and teddies
SOME of Camperdown’s littlest residents came together for a special picnic with their cuddly friends last Thursday to mark the end of term for playgroup.
Cuddly friends: Children and parents of the Camperdown Playgroup came together to celebrate the end of term with a Teddy Bear’s Picnic.
The Camperdown Playgroup marked the end of its second term with a free Teddy Bear’s Picnic at the Camperdown and District Community House.
Co-leader Michelle Hurley said the day proved fun for both parents and children alike.
“At playgroup, kids are connecting and parents as well,” she said.
“We’re a parent-led group. Three people run the group, so if there’s one away there’s a back-up.

“We offer support and friendship to new parents.
“We’re our own community helping each other raise the kids.”
The children enjoyed playing together before having a picnic with their favourite teddy bears, which was then followed by decorating teddy bear-themed biscuits with their parents.
