Absalom wins at Cobden
TWENTY-three players contested the monthly medal (stroke) and putting competitions at Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.
D. Absalom won A grade with nett 71, followed by runner-up D. Stewart on 72.
S. Mahony won B grade on 70, followed by J. Mason 76.
Balls down the line went to A. Giles, C. Horan and U. Twynstra.
Nearest the pins: 4th A. Giles, 7th T. Gardner, 10th D. Absalom, closest second on the second U. Twynstra and closest on the 14th J. Walker.
S. Mahony won the monthly medal with nett 70 while David Stewart won the putting with 26.
A reminder this Saturday is privilege pot (stableford).
On Wednesday, members had some fun playing Mulligans – but quite a few found their Mulligan strokes were no better than their original (but that’s golf).
The course was surprisingly dry.
The winner was Francoise Bosch on 68 nett, followed by Dave Stewart on 70.
Nearest the pins: A grade 4th Sherine Healey and 10th Pat Tickner; gents 4th Francois Bosch; 7th Ellen Darcy and second shot on the 8th Jeannine White.
