Absalom wins round one of Summer Cup
THIRTY-two players enjoyed round one of the Summer Cup at the Cobden Golf Club earlier this month.
The monthly medal (stroke) attracted 32 players to the club on January 1.
D. Absalom won the A grade event with a net score of 70, followed by C. Sargeant on 71 on countback from Lach Green 71.
B grade was won by A. Stevens on net 68, followed by N. Simmonds on net 71.
Nearest the pins: 4th U. Twynstra, 7th C. Sargeant, 10th M. Drayton, closest second on the 2nd U. Tynstra and closest second on the 14th Lachie Green.
The monthly medal went to A. Stevens on net 68 while D. Absalom won the putting with 27 putts.
Balls down the line: L. Green, C. Beard, M. Drayton, B. Bourke, A. Holster and G. Byrne.
