Action continues on the greens
THE bowling action continues on the Mortlake greens and despite some recent rain, there was plenty of competition.

The over 60s social pennant grand final was played at Mortlake last Tuesday between Camperdown and Terang.
Camperdown defeated Terang 50-32.
H Brebner def. N Wynd 24-15 and T Hose def. N Uebergang 26-17.
The ladies’ pairs finals was played last Saturday afternoon.
Jackie Grant and Val Smith played Glenice Kenna and Sandra Richie in the final.
The match started evenly, with both sides not giving an inch in the first five ends.
Jackie and Val then started to break away, despite Glenice and Sandra trying to find some luck (but to no avail).
Congratulations to the 2025-26 ladies pairs champions, Jackie Grant and Val Smith and well done to Glenice and Sandra for making the finals.
There is still no date set for the men’s pairs although it is hoped this can be played before Easter.
The mixed pairs are now in play and here is the draw with due dates for matches:

If there are any questions, please ask a member of the match committee.

A great day was had by the ladies and there was one team that was unbeaten on the day with four wins +26 shots.
Congratulations to the team from City Memorial, Jenny Moloney, Mary Graham, Glenda Richie and Barbara Bibby.
