Almost done
THE final touches are being added to St Patrick’s Primary School’s new building, and students are already enjoying learning within its recently-finished walls.

The $3 million facility, funded through various grants, school funds, funding provided from the Catholic education system, and through contributions from the community, began construction in February this year.
Assistant principal Tarryn Delaney said the school is excited the project is nearing completion, finding the process “quick”.
“Our students are so excited to be up there – our 5/6s, our Art and our STEM will be having classes in there,” she said.
“We still have the second part of the build, which is removing the old 5/6 portables, and that will open up our playground and our yard a little bit.
“That’s our second stage – getting rid of those and clearing up and beautifying that area.
“It’s beautiful view – we’re very excited.
“We’ve put a lot of money into it to make our school a better place for our students and the whole community.”
An official opening will be held next year, with the building or parts of the building to be named on the day.
