Angling club elects new president
COBDEN Angling Club members have inducted a new president.
COBDEN Angling Club members have inducted a new president.
At the recent club annual general meeting, Bryan Poole was elected as president of the club and will bring new ideas for the future development ofthe club.
Outgoing president Michael Merrett thanked all members for their support during his timeas president.
“Secretary Les Blake, treasurer Russell Smith and all the members are the backbone of the club,” he said.
“You have made my job as president so rewarding.”
Mr Blake and Mr Smith were re-elected to their respective roles.
Mr Merrett wished Mr Poole all the best in his role as president and said he was sure he was the right person for the job.
The club’s annual Presentation Night will be held on Friday at Thompson’s Hotel.
Meals will be served from 6.30pm. All members their families and friends are welcome to attend.
