Artist visits Simpson
SIMPSON Primary School students received a special visitor recently.
Special visitor: Contemporary Indigenous artist Emma Stenhouse spent time with students at the Simpson Primary School.
School principal Melissa Berry said the school had the honour of welcoming
Emma Stenhouse, a “proud Ngarrindjeri woman and contemporary Indigenous artist”.
“Emma’s immersion program and artistic practice provided students and teachers with a deep understanding of Indigenous culture, iconography, and storytelling,” she said.
“The students engaged thoughtfully and respectfully with her, asking insightful questions.
“We eagerly anticipate Emma’s return to Simpson Primary School for future collaborations.”
