Athletes shine at state champs
EIGHT members of the Camperdown Little Athletics Centre performed remarkably well at the state championships last weekend.
The athletes travelled to the Knox athletics track where they competed against some of the state’s best – with all coming home with new personal best times.
Female 13 years:
Annabelle Blackford – 100m 14.30 (21st), 200m 28.72 (17th), long jump 4.26m (17th.
Female 12 years:
Holly Brooks – 1500m walk 10.53.44 (15th).
Female 11 years:
Georgina Blackford – 100m 15.67 (22nd), 80m hurdles 16.31 (21st), high jump 1.25m (11th), long jump 3.83m (9th).
Female 10 years:
Isla Dickinson – high jump 0.90m (20th.
Female nine years:
Savannah Brooks – 700m walk 5.03.64 (17th).
Male 15 years:
Charlie Unwin – 1500m 5.27.94 (11th), triple jump 9.02m (16th).
Male 12 years:
Blair O’Leary – 1500m walk 11.51.87 (8th).
Male nine years:
Ethan Cotton – 200m 34.24 (21st).
