MEMBERS of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) paid a visit to Merindah Lodge recently and were impressed with what they found.

South West Healthcare Camperdown campus manager Janine Dureau-Finn said the ADF were so impressed with South West Healthcare’s COVID-19 preparedness planning at Merindah Lodge they asked permission to share the things being done there with other residential aged care facilities.

The ADF visited the Camperdown aged care facility on September 23 as part of a joint Commonwealth and Victorian Governments initiative to review and assist aged care facilities for their readiness to manage a COVID outbreak.

Ms Dureau-Finn said the ADF members toured Merindah Lodge.

“They were very impressed and have asked if we’re happy for them to pass on to other facilities several of our processes,” she said.

“It’s wonderful recognition for everyone working in, and with, Merindah Lodge.

“This acknowledgment of our hard work and care is so deserved and we couldn’t be more proud of the high standards we continue to attain to keep our residents safe.”
