Baby boom in Camperdown
CAMPERDOWN Hospital welcomed three babies onto the maternity ward this week.

CAMPERDOWN Hospital welcomed three babies onto the maternity ward this week.
While all three babies were born on Monday, February 22, only two were born in Camperdown with the third transferring from Warrnambool Hospital to be closer to home.
Campus manager Janine Durea-Finn welcomed the three babies and said it was irregular to have so many newborns at one time.
“This is really irregular, we’ve had two babies in one day, but not three,” she said.
“It’s very exciting to have three babies in together.”
Midwife Annita Opoku Agyemang said it was fantastic to have three babies at the hospital.
“It’s just amazing being able to see them birth beautifully here,” she said.
“We’re low risk here, there’s not as much intervention.”
To date, nine babies have been born at Camperdown since the start of the year.
The new borns welcomed at Camperdown this week were:
Nevada Blue Hargreaves, who is the third child of Skye and Andy Hargreaves. Nevada was born at Warrnambool Hospital weighing 5lb 10oz and was the third child for the couple.
