The team of Ron Cameron (s), Matt Brewer, Kelvin Rundle and Barry Atchison made it through to the finals after winning their early games at the Camperdown Golf Bowls Club.
The finals, held at the Colac Bowling Club, were played last Sunday.
In the semi-final Camperdown faced off against the Cobden team of Damian Riches (s) and managed to win 16-12 over 15 live ends.
In the other semi-final, two Colac teams played, with Will Colihole (s) defeating A. Holt by one shot.
In the final, Camperdown trailed Colac all game until the second last end when they hit the lead by one shot and then picked up a four on the last end to prevail 21-16.
The Camperdown team will play off for the regional finals in the new year – which they won last year.
Round eight of Saturday pennant saw Camperdown’s division one side take the long journey to Apollo Bay last weekend where they battled with the fourth-placed hosts.
Camperdown could not match the Bay boys, who jumped out of the blocks early and set up a commanding lead which left Camperdown chasing for the rest of the day.
With blustery winds prevailing, it was hard to make any in-roads on the host club who won easily in the finish by 49 shots.
Rink results were as follows:
F. Salmon, L.Searle, G. Roney and H. Van Someren were the only winning rink for Camperdown when they defeated M.Harrison 21-19.
R. Cameron, B. Atchison, V. Brebner and R. Bourke lost to the rink of H. McLaren 23-28 on the last end of the match.
M. McDonald, K. Rundle, M. Van Someren and R. Simcox went down to the rink of T. Higgins 18-31.
L. Wright, L. Gungel, P. Hassett and H. Henderson lost to G. McLaren 10-43.
Division two played Colac 2 who currently sit on top of the ladder.
On their home carpet, Colac 2 won in what was a lop-sided affair.
Coalc was on the top of their game right from the encounter.
