Beames takes division one

GREG Beames had a strong round on the Timboon golf course last Saturday to win the par event for division one.

Beams finished on +5, followed by Bill Finlayson and Chris Harkness, both with +3.

Division two winner was visitor Joel McKenzie with +5 from Percy Gillin with +1 and Gavin Rundle square.

The ladies’ winner was Andrea Thompson +5 from Donna Weller and Maureen Clements, both with +1.

Nearest the pins: 5th Joel McKenzie, 7th Andrea Thompson, 10th Alistair Gillin and 14th Bill Finlayson.

The Nutrien ball on the 11th went to Geoff Norton while the South West Car Care 13th was won by Mick Smith.

Next Saturday will be 2BBB stableford.

Thursday’s Railway View Hotel chicken day was won by Bill Finlayson with 28 points from Greg Beams 27.

Nearest the pin was Barry Cook.
