Bertram wins at Timboon
JOHN Bertram showed good form on the golf course last weekend to take out the stableford round of the Timboon Earthmoving Summer Cup.
Players converged on the Timboon greens last weekend for a great day of golf.
Bertram (17) 42 points finished ahead of second-placed Judy Delaney (21) 38.
They were followed by Andrew Grant (22) 38 points and Colin Elsum (9) 38.
Nearest the pins: 5th Mick Plozza, 7th Chris Huffadine, 14th Ivan Barlow.
Steve Plozza won a ball for his second shot to the 11th and Franny Togni won a ball for his second shot to the 13th.
Thursday’s Railway View Chicken Day was won by Darryl Neale with 28 points from John Whitehead.
This Saturday, February 14, will be the first round of the Ethnic Cup (4BBB stableford).
In the Wednesday competition, 15 players enjoyed a stableford event last week.
The winner was Heather Finlayson on 42 points from runner-up Linda McKenzie on 41.
Third on countback from Steph Delaney was Judy Delaney.
Nearest the pins: 7th Suzanne Wallace, 14th Steph Delaney (who also on the Nutrien ball).
