Big results for small school
THREE students from Cobden Technical School have performed well on the greens at Sunbury.
THREE students from Cobden Technical School have performed well on the greens at Sunbury.
The senior boys’ lawn bowls team – comprising Brodie Foster, Bodhi Crole and Riley Chamberlain competed at the SSV Secondary Senior Bowls State Final last week.
The boys had earlier finished runners-up in the greater western region competition and earnt a place at the state finals due to there being no other entry from the region.
According to staff from Cobden Technical School, the experience was an extremely exciting and unique one for the team, playing against much bigger schools and at a large facility.
Many thanks to Mr Nixon who once again coached the team.
Cobden performed well but was defeated by Maribyrnong College 7-6, Doncaster Secondary College 7-3 and Kyabram P-12 College 7-nil.
