Biggest Morning Tea success

COBDEN and district locals turned out for a good cause last week, enjoying a cuppa and a chat.
The annual Cobden Biggest Morning Tea fundraiser was held at Thommo’s Hotel this year and raising more than $1700.
Event co-organiser Jenny Bongers was pleased with how the annual event went.
“We had about 70 people who attended,” she said.
“It’s been a great crowd. Everyone has been very supportive.”
Mrs Bongers thanked the wider community for its support of the event.
“Thank you to the Cobden Bakery, Ritchies IGA Cobden, Belinda at the pub, Fonterra and anyone else who has baked for us,” she said.
Funds raised support Cancer Council Victoria’s cancer research, prevention programs and support services for anyone in Victoria affected by cancer.
