Birnie wins at Mortlake

GLEN Birnie was the winner of last Saturday’s stroke/monthly medal round at the Mortlake Golf Club.

Birnie finished on 12-83-71 to win on countback from Slade Palmer 1-72-71.

Nearest the pins: 3/12 and 6/15 Peter Palmer, 9/18 Steve Hubbard.

Balls down the line went to Tyler Schafer, Ian Jubb, Peter Palmer and Hamish Weatherly.

The handicap matchplay final saw Aaron Davies def Richard van Diemen 2up.

This week’s event will be stableford.
