TERANG Mortlake may not have brought home any premiership flags last weekend, but the club had plenty of reasons to celebrate.

Season 2023 proved a successful one for the Bloods, both on and off the field, with its senior football side reaching the preliminary final and its division three and 17 and under netball teams both earning a spot on grand final day.

Last Saturday’s Hampden League conclusion saw the Bloods well represented on the netball courts amid a sea of blue and red.

In the division three match, Terang Mortlake fought hard throughout the game only to go down to the Hamilton Kangaroos by two goals, 36-38.

Jacque Dickson (24 goals) and Holly Fowler (19) both worked hard in the goal circle and were well supported across the court.

In the 17 and unders, the Bloods were defeated by Koroit 35-47.

Alice Suhan (29 goals) and Ruby Kenna (6).
