The Bloods will now battle the Bombers in this Sunday’s semi-final knock-out at Gardens Oval.
In front of a vocal crowd at Camperdown’s Leura Oval on Saturday, the Bloods got off to quick start, kicking 4.2 for the opening term while holding the Eagles to 1.3.
They then extended their lead in the second to go into the main break with a 13-point buffer.
With both sides working hard to maintain possession, the Eagles got within three points of the Bloods by three-quarter time before adding three goals to one in the last to finish one point ahead on the siren.
Will Kain was again accurate in front of goals, adding four for the day, while Ryley Hutchins and Ryan Tanner each contributed two.
Darcy Hobbs, Alexander Moloney and Hugh Porter all kicked one for the day while Kain, Hutchins, Xavier Vickers, Joe Arundell, Scott Carlin and Samuel Crawley were all named in the best.
The Bloods’ reserves will also continue their finals campaign after a two-point win over Koroit in last Sunday’s elimination final at Portland, 6.8.44 to 6.6.42.
Best for the side were Wade Rosas, Daniel Kenna, Josef O’Sullivan, Zac Newson, Harvey Roberts and Charlie Finnerty.
Goals went to Joel Crawley and Jack Lehmann.
The reserves will now take on Warrnambool at Port Fairy this Sunday.
On the netball courts, Terang Mortlake’s division two side lost its elimination final against Koroit, 36-38, while in division three, Terang Mortlake lost to Port Fairy 38-40 in the qualifying final (best players Georgia Thomas, Niamh Scanlon and Jacque Dickson).
The Bloods’ division three team will face Koroit in this Sunday’s semi-final.
The Bloods’ 17 and unders defeated Warrnambool 36-32, with Ruby Kenna, Anna Dickson and Ava Grundy named best for the team.
They will now play Koroit in Saturday’s semi-final.
In the 13 and unders, Terang Mortlake’s finals campaign came to an end with a loss to Warrnambool, 21-22.
Best for the Bloods were McKenzie Dillon and Madelyn Clarke.
