Bloods return to winners’ list
TERANG Mortlake recorded its third win of the Hampden league senior football season on the road against Cobden last weekend.

TERANG Mortlake recorded its third win of the Hampden league senior football season on the road against Cobden last weekend.
As a result of the victory, the Bloods moved off the bottom of the ladder, leapfrogging the Bombers into ninth position.
The 15.6 (96) to 4.12 (36) triumph was set up by a 10 goal second half.
Leading by just 14 points at half-time, the Bloods upped the ante following the main break to completely run over the top of the home side.
Daniel Kenna was the main destroyer on the scoreboard booting three, while Matt Arundell, Nick Couch and Ryan Tanner all contributed one apiece.
Jarryd Hay was named best on ground, with Kenna, Gus Bourke, the ever consistent Joe Arundell, Harry Williams and Couch also among the top performers.
Terang Mortlake’s reserves did not fare so well, going down 11.11 (77) to 5.4 (34) at Cobden Recreation Reserve.
Luke Kenna was the Bloods’ only multiple goalkicker with two majors, as veteran Nathan Jones was named best for his side.
Cobden’s under 18.5 side proved far too strong for the Bloods in a 21.14 (140) to 1.1 (7) result.
Jack Lehmann was Terang Mortlake’s lone goalkicker, while Hugh Porter was adjudged best in blue and red.
All three football sides will round out the 2019 season this Saturday at Terang Recreation Reserve against Koroit.
