DESPITE the cold and wet conditions last weekend, Terang Mortlake continued its unbeaten season with a 61-point win over Portland under lights.

In front of a large crowd at Wilsons DC Farran Oval on Saturday night, the Bloods made it four from four and now sit second on the Hampden League ladder, just percentage behind leaders South

Warrnambool and two games clear of the third-placed Cobden Bombers.

Final scores on Saturday were Terang Mortlake 12.10.82 to Portland 3.3.21.

Best for the Bloods were Joe Arundell, Isaac Kenna, Rhys Buck, Kane Johnstone, Will Kain and Lachlan Wareham.

Kain continues to add to his growing list of goals this season, with six for the match last weekend.

He was well supported by Rhys Buck (3), Isaac Kenna (2) and Ben Reid.

In the reserves, Terang Mortlake enjoyed a solid 87-point win over Portland, 19.6.120 to 5.3.33.

Best for the Bloods were Jordan Harris, Toby Harris, Simon Densley, Jack Lehmann and Thomas Justin.

Jordan and Toby Harris both booted four for the Bloods, while Charlie Finnerty, Tyson Hay, Jake Lee, Jack Lehmann and Ryan Tanner all finished the day with two each – and Jack Kenna added one to the board.

The win puts the reserves in fourth spot, percentage ahead of Hamilton and a game clear of sixth-placed Koroit.

In the under 18.5s, the Bloods weren’t so fortunate, going down to Portland 3.3.21 to 10.19.79.

Charlie Box, Tyson Royal and Josh Slater kicked one each for the home side while Ned Roberts, Tyler Vickers, Mitchell Hughes, Charlie Kenna, Josh Slater and Damien Godard were listed in the team’s best.

The Super Saturday competition provided some strong results for the Bloods on the netball courts.

Open – Terang Mortlake defeated Portland 61-32.

Best on court for the Bloods: Eboni Knights, Johanna Glennen and Hollie Castledine.

Division one – Terang Mortlake defeated Portland 49-40. Best for the Bloods: Claudia Lee, Jessica Davis and Lily Lourey.

Division two – Portland defeated Terang Mortlake 43-35.

Best on court: Zoe Barker.

Division three – Terang Mortlake defeated Portland 33-12. Best for the Bloods: Debbie Worland, Holly Fowler and Zoe Ritchie.

17 and under – Terang Mortlake defeated Portland 35-17. Best on court: Alice Kain and Jessica Bell.

15 and under – Terang Mortlake defeated Portland 51-14. Best for the Bloods: Tayla Bell.

13 and under –Terang Mortlake defeated Portland 22-15.

Terang Mortlake will head to Port Fairy’s Gardens Oval on Saturday to take on the Seagulls.

In other round five action this weekend, Hamilton will face South Warrnambool, Warrnambool will host Koroit, North Warrnambool will take on Portland and neighbours Cobden and Camperdown will clash for a Super Saturday at the home of the Bombers.
