Bloods struggle against South women

TERANG Mortlake’s female footballers struggled against a strong South Warrnambool side last weekend.

Round five of the Western Victoria Female Football League competition saw the Bloods face South at Mortlake’s DC Farran Oval last Sunday.

The Roosters took home the points, winning 15.18.108 to no score.

Rachel O'Keeffe, Kara Bell, and Lilly Dixon were best for the Bloods.

In other round five results, Kelsey England kicked nine majors and led Tyrendarra to a 19.15.129 to nil win over Hamilton.

At the Reid Oval, Cavendish recorded an 11.7.73 to 4.3.27 win over Warrnambool.

Branxholme/Wallacedale had the bye.

The competition has this weekend off, with round six matches set to be played on Sunday, May 17.
