Blow-outs on the table
ROUND three of Terang Table Tennis Association’s 2025 season saw matches blow out with two 8-3 wins.
While Timo Mania won 8-3 against I Don’t Care, the result was anything but one-sided.
I Don’t Care lost five matches either in the fourth or fifth game.
Trevor McDowell led his side, winning his three singles and both doubles.
Michael Pearson has been threatening to win games against opposition number ones for a few seasons and he finally achieved this milestone by beating Mark Smith for the first time 11-5, 13-15, 10-12, 12-10, 11-9.
Michael won two singles and a doubles with team-mate Peter Mania winning a singles and doubles.
Pat Nicholson was the most successful player for I Don’t Care, winning two singles.
Youngsters defeated Saints 8-3 with Tony Young, Vesha Chapagai and fill-in players all winning two singles and both doubles.
Callum McSween won his three singles for the Saints.
