Blue Gum to pay a visit
LOCALS will have a chance to access a host of government services without leaving their towns.
Services Australia’s Mobile Service Centre – dubbed Blue Gum – will be visiting towns in Corangamite Shire next week.
Blue Gum will be visiting the following areas:
Port Campbell, Tuesday, April 16 near the Port Campbell Baptist Church in Lord Street between 9am and 4pm;
Timboon, Wednesday, April 17 in Main Street between 9am and 4pm; and
Cobden, Thursday, April 18 near Cobden and District Community Bank in Curdie Street between 9am and 2.30pm.
Mobile Service Centres are 20 tonne trucks operated by staff from Services Australia, providing regional and rural Australians with friendly face-to-face service and tailored support.
Staff on board Blue Gum this trip will be able to help residents with Centrelink claims, Medicare registrations and accessing online services.
Information about the National Disability Insurance Scheme and Department of Veterans’ Affairs programs and support services will also be available.
