Bombers celebrate season 2025

COBDEN Football Netball Club celebrated its 2025 season with its annual vote count and presentations recently.

Congratulations to the club’s division one netballers who brought home the Hampden League premiership flag.

In the senior football vote count, Sam Lucas was named best and fairest, followed by runner-up Matty Drayton.

Other senior awards were presented to Michael Koroneos (leading goal kicker), Harrison Herschell (most improved), Sam Thow (most serviceable) and Matty Kemp (most disciplined).

The coaches award went to Alfie Armstrong.

In the reserves football, Angus Molan topped the vote count and was named best and fairest, followed by runner-up Tom Mahony.

Tom Spokes was named leading goal kicker, while Caleb Bignell was most improved, Ash Rosolin best team player and Brody Foster took home the coaches award.

In the under 18 football vote count, Ollie Rial was named the Bombers’ best and fairest for season 2025.

The runner-up award went to Kayden Daffy while Ryan Mottram took out leading goal kicker.

Other awards went to Cooper Beard (best team player), Noah Bignell (most improved), Michael Katsarous (most improved) and Hayden Chamberlain (coaches award).

In the Open netball vote count, Sophie Hinkley backed up her Hampden League award to take out the best and fairest, followed by runner-up Lara Taylor.

Hinkley was also presented with the Ellen Darcy MVP award while Alicia Blain received the coaches award.

In division one netball, Macey Hicks topped the vote count to win the best and fairest trophy, followed by runner-up Jess Bouchier.

The coaches award was presented to Kyla Groves.

Ruby Suhan topped off a great season in division two to win the best and fairest trophy, with Morgan Drayton the runner-up and Leah Dickson receiving the coaches award.

The division three best and fairest vote count was won by Maggie Conheady, followed by Jacqui Dickson. Sophie Hickey received the coaches award.

In the junior netball vote count, Emily Hickey topped the leaderboard to take out the best and fairest award.

Runner-up was Marley Howard while Chloe Bridges received the coaches award.

In the 17 and under reserves, Marley Howard was named best and fairest followed by runner-up Layla Blomfield. Sophie Halliday received the coaches award.

In the 15 and under count, Sarah Bridges finished on top, followed by Isabella Wain – with Zaya Howard receiving the coaches award.

The 15 and under reserves top award went to Chloe Anderson, with Chali Robins runner-up. The coaches award went to Olivia Halliday.

In the 13 and unders, Dakota Baker was named best and fairest, Steph Fleming runner-up and Lily Baxter took home the coaches award.

In the 13 and under reserves, Mahli Baxter was best and fairest, Charlotte Robertson runner-up and Grace Barber received the coaches award.
