Boorcan’s middle order chases down the Knights
BOORCAN’S Division One cricketers held firm to defeat Cobden over the weekend, thanks to a stirring spell from its middle orders.

Cobden came out swinging with openers Matthew Boyle and Jonty Robertson recording a partnership of 39 before the fall of the first wicket thanks to a catch from Jett Nicholas.
The Knights started to level out before Parker Walsh took the crease at 4/86, where he would go on to top score with 42 runs from 94 deliveries.
But a quick flow of wickets including a double from skipper William Owen and Daniel Boyle would contain the Knights to 10/132.
Best on the day was Daniel Boyle with three wickets from 10 overs, with just 26 runs surrendered, Owen, William Rowbottom and vice-captain Henry Moyle all bagged a pair of wickets.
Boorcan’s run chase got off to a less-than-ideal start with Regan Nelson falling on just four runs before Max Moor entered with an 18-run stand.
The home side were sitting at a nervous 4-70 when Moor fell, but Lachlan Boyle came in to record an impressive 37 from just 28 deliveries, including a pair of sixes and three boundaries.
The captain also proved effective from the middle order, recording 20 runs from 35 deliveries as Boorcan raced away to chase down the total with three wickets up their sleeves.
