Bowls club turns pink
CAMPERDOWN Bowls Club will turn shades of pink for a worthy cause on Saturday, October 26.
The Giants will host a special pink-themed morning tea to raise awareness of, and money for, the McGrath Foundation during October’s ‘Think Pink’ breast cancer awareness month.
The club will be joined by Colac Lakes Bowls Club and Lismore Bowls Club for the event.
Entry will be just $10 per person and will include bubbles, a lucky door prize ticket and morning tea.
Participants are encouraged to wear pink, with a ‘best dressed’ prize on offer.
The morning looks set to be filled with laughter, games and raffles along with a talk from special guest, Carole Manifold.
A barbecue lunch will also be on offer, with a gold coin donation asked.
Camperdown Bowls Club is located in Thornton Street, Camperdown.
The morning tea will run from 10am until 12 noon.
People are also encouraged to purchase a ‘heart’ which will be displayed in the windows of Benallack’s Sport in Manifold Street.
Hearts will be available for $50 (large) or $30 (small), with all proceeds again going to the McGrath Foundation.
