Bowls season rolls in
PERFECT weather conditions provided an ideal backdrop for an open day at Derrinallum Bowling Club last Sunday.

The day started with a minute’s silence in memory of an older member who recently passed, following by a round-robin organised by members of the match committee.
Thanks to the generosity of club sponsor, Gorst Rural, the club recently purchased four new bowls pushers and a barbecue meal was also enjoyed.
The winners of the day were Dirk Morrison’s team followed closely by Fiona Noone’s team.
The winners of the raffle, donated by Derrinallum Hotel, were Adrian McKenzie, John McLachlan and Belle B.
The club welcomed six new members.
The Tuesday teams will start on October 3 and the Saturday team (which will move up to division three after winning last year’s premiership) will start on October 7.
