Brauer named club champion
THE final round of the Camperdown Golf Club’s women’s championships was played last weekend.
Despite steady rain all day, the conditions remained mild and still, giving players the opportunity to play some good quality golf for the third and final stroke round.
A grade, and the title of club champion, was a close contest over the three weeks.
Ros Brauer proved the most consistent player of the series and with a final round of 85 on Saturday, claimed the title with an aggregate of 262 (87, 90, 85).
A relatively newcomer to Camper-down, Ros is congratulated on her win and for the quality of her play throughout the competition.
Tracey Baker, a previous club champion, finished runner-up with a final round of 86 – giving her an aggregate of 266 (85, 95, 86).
Jess Moulden, the 2023 champion, had a final round of 89 to finish a creditable third with 268 (84, 85, 89).
Jess won the Dot Hill Trophy for the best scratch score of 84 in round one and the Margaret Pretty Trophy for the best three nett scores with an aggregate of 218 (66, 79, 73).
Gabby Gill was named the B grade champion with a final round of 101.
This gave her a total of 297 (96, 100, 101).
Ruth Skene was runner-up with an aggregate of 318 (102, 105, 111).
