Buchanan wins Eagles nest
KURT Buchanan has taken out the McQuinns Plumbing Eagles Nest at Cobden Golf Club.
Buchanan eagled the par four, 13th hole last weekend to take out the nest.
Qualifiers for the Fred Errey pairs multiplay (handicap) are:
S. Dawson and A. Holster 77, L. Finney and D. Bath 74, J. Beard and G. Byrne 69 and J. Mason and T. Gardner 67.
Twenty-six players contested the privilege pot (stableford) last Saturday.
D. Bath won A grade on 44 points, followed by J. Beard on 40.
The winner of B grade was D. Lamb on 41 followed by T. Gardner on 35.
Nearest the pins: 4th J. Beard, 7th K. Buchanan, 10th A. Holster and closest second on the 14th D. Buckle.
The privilege pot was won by D. Bath on 44 points.
Balls down the line went to S. Dawsohn, A. Holster, D. Beard, D. Buckle and C. Horan.
This Saturday, March 21 will be the Frank Hodgeson pairs aggregate (stableford).
Twelve players competed last Wednesday, March 11.
The winner on the day was Chloe Healey who finished on 32 stableford points.
Runners-up were Ellen Darcy with 32 stableford and Netty Hose, also on 32.
Nearest the pins: B grade – 4th Sue Couch, 10th Jeannine White; C grade – 4th Jo Hintum.
Closest to the pin on the 7th was Chloe Heale.
The Joan Jacka pairs winners were Julie Simmonds and Jeannine White who defeated Deb Ferrari and Pat Tickner 2-1.
Sandra Mason and Janine Stevens defeated Di McKenzie and Carmel Darcy 1 Up.
