Buckle takes A grade

WITH a strong 40 points, D. Buckle took out A grade at the Cobden Golf Club last Saturday.

Twenty-eight players contested the privilege pot (stableford) in warm conditions.

Buckle finished ahead of S. Rix on 39 while in B grade S. Mahony finished the day at the top of the board on 43 points, followed by J. Stevens on 36 and T. Gardner and J. Green on countback.

Balls down the line: D. Stewart, D. Bath, H. Green, T. Gardner, J. Green and J. Reed.

A. Giles eagled the par four first hole.

D. Buckle was nearest the pin on the 4th while D. Bath was nearest on both the 7th and 10th, S. Mahony was closest second on the second (handicap 16-36) and S. Mahony took the privilege pot.

A reminder to all players that next week is the Frank Hodgeson pairs aggregate (stableford) – pairs must be named before the round.
