Bulls celebrate season 2024-25

POMBORNEIT Cricket Club has celebrated season 2024/25 during its annual presentation day.

Last weekend saw large crowds gather at the clubrooms, with senior presentations on Saturday night and juniors the following day.

Lahiru Fernado and Jessica Mouldon took out the major awards, with Fernado winning the division one team champion award for the third time, while Moulden won the Pomborneit Gold women’s team champion award for a second time.

Congratulations to the following award winners:

Division one men – team champion Lahiru Fernando 17 votes, most runs Grant Place 473, most wickets Lahiru Fernando 30, century David Murphy 113 v Camperdown, Twenty20 team champion Tom Darcy 154 points.

Pomborneit Gold women – team champion Jessica Moulden 21 votes, most runs and most wickets Jessica Moulden (283 runs/15 wickets) five wicket haul Jess Maulden 5/3 v Tomahawk Creek.

Division two men – team champion Fletcher Tolland 12 votes, most runs Luke Reynolds 366, most wickets Max Rees 16.

Pomborneit Maroon women – team champion Janelle Whitehead 13 votes, most runs Janelle Whitehead 120, most wickets Isabella Wain 11.

Division three men – team champion Tony Evans 16 votes, most runs Tony Evans 404, most wickets Alex Downie 13, century Stephen Walters 135no v Heytesbury Princetown and Tony Evans 116 v Ecklin.

Division four men – team champion Wes Lenehan 170 points, most runs Wes Lenehan 140, most wickets Lily Van Es 4.

Under 17 boys – team champion and most runs Ben Whytcross (23 votes/493 runs), most wickets and most catches Josh Reynolds (27 wickets/10 catches), five wicket haul Fletcher Tolland 5/7 v Irrewarra.

Pomborneit Gold under 17 girls –team champion Lucia Clarke 12 votes, most runs Jada Mahony 121, most wickets and most catches Lucia Clarke (10 wickets/4 catches).

Pomborneit Maroon under 17 girls – team champion Charlotte Richardson 11 votes, most runs Isla Spokes 77, most wickets Charlotte Richardson 4, most catches Isla Spokes 3.
