Bulls re-gain the top spot
BULLS have re-asserted themselves as premiership favourites of the Corangamite volleyball spring competition.
With two strong wins in round eight, the Bulls are now looking the side to beat.
Beating Poachers 2-1 in a very tight match, they have reclaimed top spot on the ladder, completing another successful season with 12 wins, two draws and only two losses.
The Bulls will now take on the fourth-placed Ballbusters in the first semi-final next week.
Poachers will resume hostilities with NOBTS in the second semi-final to decide who will play off in the spring premiership.
Ballbusters had the opportunity to push their way to third spot but failed to make any ground, losing to both NOBTS and Freeballers.
Cowgirls and Freeballers will play a B grade challenge final to decide who will take home the wooden spoon.
Round eight results: Bulls def Freeballers 3-0, NOBTS def Cowgirls 3-1, Freeballers def Ballbusters 3-9, Bulls def Poachers 2-1, Poachers def Cowgirls 2-1 and NOBTS def Ballbusters 2-1.
