Bulls take T20 title
POMBORNEIT has taken out the South West Cricket division one Twenty20 title.
In a close battle with the Cobden Knights last Saturday evening, the Bulls had to work hard at the crease after the Knights won the toss, elected to bat and posted 3/112 in their 20 overs.
Best for the Knights were Jonty Robertson, who contributed an unbeaten 47 from 51 balls, and Matthew Kemp who added 26.
In reply, the Bulls reached 4/113 in their 17th over with batsman Tharaka Sendanayake continuing his current form with an unbeaten 62 from 52 balls.
Sendanayake’s innings included eight boundaries.
He was well supported by opener Tom Darcy, who contributed 26 from 31 balls.
Earlier in the day, the semi-final draws saw the Bulls defeat the Storm and the Knights get the win over Bookaar.
