Business a dream come true
COBDEN’S Catherine Ryan is celebrating a dream come true with the opening of her new business – Cobden Boarding Kennels.

COBDEN’S Catherine Ryan is celebrating a dream come true with the opening of her new business – Cobden Boarding Kennels.
She said approval for opening of the business came through during the recent lockdown.
The purpose built facility is able to house up to 18 dogs, with two exercise yards giving the pooches time to stretch their legs during visits.
Mrs Ryan said the business began operating on September 10 with a number of bookings received since then.
“Everyone has been very supportive,”she said.
“We’ve had good feedback on our Facebook page which is positive.”
Mrs Ryan said owning a dog boarding kennel was a long-time goal realised for her.
“It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, even when I was young,” she said.
“We got to a stage with the farm that we were looking to diversify.
“I’m looking forward to the future.”
Mrs Ryan said she was already thinking about what could be done to make the kennels even more welcoming and cater to different needs.
“We provide toys, bedding and food; but if people would like to bring their own, they’re welcome to,” she said.
“All dogs coming to stay must be at least four months old and be up-to-date with their vaccinations.”
