Rotary Club secretary Graeme Fischer said the club recently delivered donated medical books and mobility aids to the Rotary Australia Recycling Equipment station in Geelong.

“Containers of goods including medical and educational items are sent to the Pacific Islands or our near neighbours,” he said.

“The Rotarians of Geelong who are involved in this project deserve recognition.”

The next day saw six Camperdown Rotary Club members attend the annual group mini golf night in Cobden.

Sixty Rotarians from clubs in Cobden, Colac, Colac West, Terang, Warrnambool and Warrnambool Daybreak attended the night.

The Camperdown Rotary Club’s first producers’ markets was recently held, with four stalls present on its debut.

More are planned to be held, with the markets to be held on the first and third Fridays of each month.

Mr Fischer said the Rotary club has more events coming up in the next few weeks.

“As well as the normal Sunday market on Sunday, March 3, there will be a market on the Friday of the Labour Day weekend (Friday, March 8) from 10am to 6pm,” he said.

“On Monday, March 4, from 5.30pm, club members and friends will be cleaning up the highway to the west of town as part of the Clean Up Australia events.

“Members of the public are invited to join us.”
