Moving forward: Cobdenhealth has welcomed a number of new faces to the service as well as returning staff members after a busy six months.

IT has been a busy six months at Cobdenhealth with Leading Healthcare managing the facility since April.

Leading Healthcare managing director Adam Sevdalis said the newly appointed leaders at Cobdenhealth were ushering in a fresh approach and attitude, “marking a significant shift in the organisation’s direction”.

“There has been a concerted effort to recruit and promote local, motivated individuals who have a strong connection to the Cobden community,” he said.

“Matt Teves, who joined the team in September as the manager for home care, brings valuable skills that will enhance the client experience and provide necessary support as each client’s clinical needs evolve.

“Matt’s dedication to advancing our home care business, in conjunction with Sandra Mason’s transition to strategy and business development for home care, has been clear and instrumental in shaping the future of home care at Cobdenhealth.”

Rebecca Mahoney took the lead of the service’s residential aged care business unit as the director of care from November 13, Melissa Smith has been promoted internally to hospitality leader, Mavy

Piening has joined the finance team and Michael Marchione has taken on the role of maintenance lead.

Mr Sevdalis said all support areas now report to support services manager Pam Lenehan.

“Her leadership has brought cohesion and efficiency to the support areas, ensuring that they operate seamlessly and contribute effectively to the overall success of the facility and organisation,” he said.
Kristy Gasper has taken the lead for the family medical practice, Jessica Haberfield has been leading the services IT projects and Rebecca Bogie has taken the helm of the quality and education department.

“Rebecca reports to Sue Fleming, our facility’s general manager, whose contributions over the past six months, particular in supporting the home care accreditation process, have been highly rated,” Mr Sevdalis said.

“Sue’s extensive experience in leadership roles and her focused approach will be crucial assets for Cobdenhealth moving forward.”

He said Cindy Elford has transitioned to the resident liaison role and Wendy Bernhardt re-joined the Cobden team in June, taking charge of the rostering function across the facility.

“Together, this group forms the makings of a dynamic team that is propelling Cobdenhealth towards a bright and promising future,” Mr Sevdalis said.

“It will take time no doubt but having the right people in the right roles is where we begin.”
