Busy times ahead
TIMBOON Action are coming hot into the new year with upcoming events for everyone to get involved.
After a summer of rest and relaxation, Timboon Action are getting busy again with dates to block out on the calendar.
The first is Clean Up Australia Day, which is on Sunday, March 1, a day dedicated to cleaning up the town and freshening up in the new year.
Timboon Action president Enid O’Connor said she hoped everyone would get involved to commit to the cause.
“It’s going to be all hands on deck to tidy the town,” she said.
“We’re encouraging everyone to volunteer.
“All are welcome to participate and be a part of the Australia-wide clean-up day.
“We’re meeting at 10.30am at the Power Creek Green and we hope to see you there.”
The following weekend on Sunday, March 8 from 10am-2pm is the Timboon Action makers and farmers market, also at the Power Creek Green.
There will be a variety of stalls, from fresh produce to handmade goods, homemade gifts to jewellery and artisan products.
There will be local youth music and free face painting for the children.
“We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there – don’t miss out on this opportunity to support local business and trade,” Mrs O’Connor said.
