Corangamite Arts Inc and Camperdown Men’s Shed were taught correct usage of a defibrillator (defib) by two representatives from Ambulance Victoria.

The defib training session also included CPR basics.

Camperdown Pastoral and Agriculture Society member Cheryl McMahon said 30 people attended the session, which will enable them to act in the event of a cardiac arrest.

“Levi and Andrew from Ambulance Victoria conducted the training,” she said.

“There were comments regarding how informative the training was and that it was good to bring the showgrounds’ user groups together for the session.”

The session was funded through the Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal’s Nutrien Ag Solutions Community Grants program.
