WOORNDOO Mortlake’s B grade netballers will take on Ararat in this Saturday’s Mininera League preliminary final.
The Tigers put in a solid four-quarter effort in their semi-final match against Penshurst last weekend to take victory, 34-29.
Jaime Killen once again provided constant drive and options through the midcourt while WhaWhaKiTeRangi Hapuku was also named in the best for her defensive pressure and her attack at the ball.
The Tigers last met Ararat back in round six when the Eagles took the win by nine goals.
The Tigers will be keen to turn the tables this weekend and earn a spot in the grand final.
Woorndoo Mortlake’s 17 and under side enjoyed an eight-goal victory over Penshurst in their semi-final match at Willaura last Saturday – earning themselves a grand final berth.
Final scores were 37-29, with goal attack Elise Killen and defender Mia Richie named best on court for the Tigers.
