Camperdown Little Athletics
A total of 47 little athletes attended a skills session in the Camperdown basketball stadium due to wet weather, calling off our regular Friday night program.
A total of 47 little athletes attended a skills session in the Camperdown basketball stadium due to wet weather, calling off our regular Friday night program.
Athletes completed activities that helped to teach the fundamentals of athletics.
Our sessions were supported by our senior leadership team consisting of our overage athletes, Stella, Lila, Riley, Kayla, Lynley, Charlotte and Jackenzie.
The camaraderie between our youngest athletes and our most experienced is something very special to see and is a great positive for our centre.
Event stations included Hurdles, shot put, ladder exercises, relay training and also the all-important warm up and cool down sessions.
The night concluded with a games session that was well supported by our parents, (who seemed to enjoy it as much as our kids did!) it was a great way to spend our fourth week of the season.
With the wet weather expected to hang around until next week, we are hopeful of fine conditions that will see us return to the track for a full program next week, we hope that all of our families have a fantastic week, and we hope to see you next Friday.
