Car ploughs through crossing
RESIDENTS who have been out and about may have noticed one of the crossings along Manifold Street was damaged.
The crossing located out the front of the Camperdown Courthouse, was destroyed after a car drove over it over the weekend.
Camperdown Police Senior Constable Zach Wilson said police were following up the incident.
“We know the vehicle and things like that, but we were tied up with a completely unrelated job out the other side of Mortlake when it happened, so by the time we got back, the vehicle was there and pulled off to the side of the road,” he said.
Department of Transport and Planning executive director Barwon South West and Grampians Michael Bailey said VicRoads were aware of the damage, and a maintenance team would repair the damage in coming days.
