Career high 160 for Darcy
AFTER a round 12 bye, tomorrow sees fourth placed Pomborneit play fifth placed Birregurra at Birregurra in round 13 of the Colac-South West premier cricket competition.

Records tumbled last Saturday in division two as Pomborneit scored a big 213 run win over Boorcan at Boorcan.
Batting first, the Bulls were 2/27 when Tom Darcy joined Ben Whytcross at the wicket, the pair putting on 131 in 18 overs for the third wicket before Whytcross was stumped for 49 from 50 balls.
Darcy, who was then joined at the crease by twin brother Sam, upped the tempo, bringing up his second career century in the 26th over.
Smashing another 60 runs in the next five overs, Darcy was eventually out for a career best 160 from 97 balls, an innings that featured 15 fours and seven sixes.
Darcy’s score is a new record individual score for Pomborneit in second division cricket.
Sam Darcy continued the momentum, hitting 70 from 42 balls, with seven fours and two sixes, as the Bulls posted 5/336 from their 40 overs.
That total is a new record team score for Pomborneit at second division level.
Boorcan reached 51 without loss until Tom Darcy was given the ball, quickly taking the first two wickets.
The home team then slumped to 5/68 before eventually being bowled out in the 31st over for 123.
Tom Darcy rounded out a superb all round game with 4/15 from five overs, with Fletcher Tolland and Sam Darcy taking two wickets each.

This week the third placed division two Bulls take on second placed Heytesbury-Princetown Blue at Pomborneit.
In division three matches, Pomborneit Gold had an eight wicket win over Camperdown at Pomborneit, while Pomborneit Maroon had a 126 run loss to Heytesbury-Princetown at Princetown.
Batting first, Camperdown was bowled out for 143 in 39.5 overs.
Miller Murphy finished the innings off well with 3/10 from 2.5 overs, with Tayla Reynolds and Matt Richardson taking two wickets each.
Gold passed the Lakers total in 19.5 overs for the loss of two wickets aided by a strong opening partnership between Matt Richardson and Garry Riches.
Richardson hit 62 from 42 balls with 11 boundaries, while Riches made 42 from 43 balls with eight fours in Gold’s eighth win of the season.
Maroon bowled first at Princetown, with the home team making 7/209.
Left-armer Andy Raven was the pick of the bowlers with 2/29 from eight overs, with another left-armer in junior player Patrick Spokes taking 1/25 from eight.
In reply, openers Jonty Raven and Craig Boyd put on 43 for the first wicket before Raven was caught for 18 off 20 balls.
Boyd made 40 from 34 but the Maroon innings fell away badly, crashing to be all out for 83 in the 23rd over.
This week’s division three matches see Pomborneit Gold play Woorndoo at Woorndoo, while Pomborneit Maroon host Camperdown at South Purrumbete.
On Tuesday night, Pomborneit’s under 17 boys lost to Colac at CMTP Oval.
Batting first, the Bulls were in trouble at 6/26 before a lower order fightback led by Patrick Spokes saw Pomborneit reach 114, bowled out in the 30th over.
Spokes retired on 30 and was then able to come back, eventually making 42 from 42 balls.
Harvey Roberts provided great support, also reaching the 30 ball retirement mark on 13.
Colac looked in control in the run chase at 3/96 before a change came over the game with the home team losing 5/17 to be 8/113.
Colac passed the score while eight down, eventually being bowled out in the final over for 140.
Ollie West led the bowlers with 3/8 from two overs, with Levi Cootesmith and Miller Murphy taking two wickets each.
The under 17 Bulls have the bye this week, with finals commencing on Tuesday, February 24.
In the under 16s on Sunday, Pomborneit had a 48 run win over Bookaar at Frederick St.
Batting first, Pomborneit posted 9/164 from its 35 overs.
Opener Josh Reynolds top scored with 33 from 34 balls, with Miller Murphy making 32 from 54 and Jonty Raven a run a ball 25.
Bookaar was bowled out in 32.1 overs in an even team bowling performance by the Bulls.
This Sunday in the under 16s, Pomborneit play Heytesbury-Princetown at Timboon.
Last Friday night in the under 14s, Pomborneit had a 37 run loss to Apollo Bay at Pomborneit.
The visitors batted first, making 8/135 from their 30 overs.
Angus Murphy led the bowlers with 2/6 from three overs.
After being 9/53, retired opener Noah Boyd returned to the crease to join younger brother Mateo Boyd, with the pair putting on 45 for the last wicket as the Bulls were bowled out for 98.
Noah Boyd finished unbeaten on 36 from 48 balls, with Mateo making nine from 15.
This Friday night the under 14 Bulls play City United Purple at Elliminyt.
In the under 13s on Monday night, Pomborneit had a 60 run win over Heytesbury-Princetown at Timboon.
Batting first, Pomborneit posted 4/137 from their 24 overs.
Captain Bailey Fox top scored with 21 from eight balls, with Lucas Place retiring on 14, Tommy Fox making 13 and Hamish Christensen retiring on 13.
In the reply the Storm were restricted to 5/77, with Bailey Fox, Angus Murphy, Lucas Place, Hamish Bishop and Jack Hillman taking a wicket each.
This Monday the under 13 Bulls play Camperdown at Pomborneit.
