Catch a movie these holidays
TWO laughter-packed days out are in store for young Corangamite Shire residents and their families during the school holidays.
They can watch four movies for free at the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.
“With the big screen, loud sound and popcorn they will be fun days out,” council’s events and creative industries team leader Tammy Young said.
“Watching a movie at the cinema is like jumping into a giant adventure.
“It’s way cooler than watching on a tablet at home.
“You can hang out with your friends and have a laugh together, then talk about your favourite scenes or characters afterwards.
“So grab your mates and head on down to the theatre.”
On Wednesday, September 24, the screenings will start at 10.30am with Dog Man, where a faithful police dog and his human police officer owner are fused together and forced to embrace their new identity.
At 1.30pm, the theatre will screen Cars, where hotshot racer Lightning McQueen learns life is about the journey, not the finish line.
On Wednesday, October 1, the theatre will screen Babe at 10.30am, the story of a little pig who doesn’t know his place in the world.
At 1.30pm, the final film A Minecraft Movie will bring four misfits together who are struggling with ordinary problems when they are pulled through a mysterious portal into the Overworld.
Don’t miss this chance to enjoy free school holiday fun at the Theatre Royal in Camperdown.
