Cats hold fourth
HEADING into the Christmas break, Mortlake’s division one Premier side is holding strong in the top four.

Almost mid-way through the 2024/25 season the Cats put on a strong performance with bat and ball to take the win over Nestles last weekend.
Having won the toss and elected to bowl the previous week, the Cats were left chasing 10-188.
Captain Todd Lamont led the strike, taking 4-51 from his 25 overs on December 7.
Heading in to bat on Reid Oval last weekend, the Cats’ opener Stephen Blacker was dismissed for a duck while fellow opener Chamika Feranando fell for 10.
Taj Podger (9) and Corey Rounds (13) added to the scoreboard before middle-order batsman Saman Gonawala picked up the run chase, finishing on 96 from 184 deliveries.
Gonawala’s impressive innings included six boundaries.
The Cats finished their 84 overs on 8-232, with Jack Lehmann unbeaten on 25 and Lachlan Higginson not out on three.
Action will return for the Warrnambool Moyne and
District Cricket Association season on Saturday, January 11.
