Having won the toss and elected to bowl last Saturday, the Cats worked hard to restrict the Titans to 10/139 in the 41st over.

Neil Kelly was effective with the ball, taking 3/22 from 12 overs while team-mate Hamish Hobbs also contributed with 3/26 from seven.

Other wickets fell for Max Slater 2/0 from a single over while Cooper Herry took 1/25 from six and Damien Goddard 1/41 from 12.

Heading in to bat, the Cats were off to a strong start with opener Cooper Herry finishing the day unbeaten on 34 in a stint that included three boundaries.

Team captain Mitchell Hughes fell for 14 while Max Slater will return to the crease this weekend with four runs on the board.

Mortlake’s Premier team had a bye this round and will next take to the field on Saturday, February 22 for their round nine match against West Warrnambool.

This game will be played at DC Farran Oval.
