STUDENTS at Camperdown College took a more colourful approach to their clothing recently.

Earlier this month, the Junior School Council (JSC) hosted the school’s annual Prep to Year Six Colour Run.

The Colour Run is sponsored by the School Safe Victoria’s Diversity Dash program, which aims to promote inclusivity and celebrate diversity through a fun event.

JSC coordinator Darcie Seers said the school was selected to encourage students to get active as part of promoting inclusion and diversity.

“It was the most perfect day for our event; the sun was shining, and the students had heaps of fun running and being covered in bright coloured powder,” she said.

“A big thank you to Michael and Jack from the Camperdown CFA for bringing the fire truck, it was definitely a big hit with the students.”

The school raised $268.80 as part of the event, which will be donated to the Find Your Voice Collective.

The Find Your Voice Collective works to include people all types of disabilities in finding their voice through creativity and music.
