Celebrating 75 years of theatre
CURTAINS have fallen on the Camperdown Theatre Company’s 75th Anniversary Spectacular, with over 1000 tickets sold.

CURTAINS have fallen on the Camperdown Theatre Company’s 75th Anniversary Spectacular, with over 1000 tickets sold.
The event, which ran over the last two weeks, featured performances from shows from the Theatre’s history, including Spamalot, Annie, Away and more.
A reunion afternoon tea for past and present members and their families was held on the final night of the spectacular.
Show director Toby McKenzie said the audience loved the shows.
“We had a great turnout, and it as great revisiting some old memories,” he said.
The reunion afternoon tea was also well-attended, allowing past and present members to share their love of the theatre.
Mr McKenzie said it was a nice afternoon, with around 100 people at the reunion.
“We had lots of old members back, which was fantastic to see,” he said.
“Lots of them had fantastic feedback about the show, and it was great for them to catch up with members from many years ago.”
Mr McKenzie said the theatre aims to continue growing what is on offer, ensuring to offer opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
“Anyone who loves theatre is welcome,” he said.
“We’d like to thank everybody for their amazing support; it’s been fantastic to see so many people come along and celebrate with us.
“We’ve had a blast.”
