Mortlake’s Oscar Ritchie smashed his way to a century in the under 17 Twenty20 semi-final earlier this week.

Ritchie, a handy all-rounder for the Cats, put on a well-earned century – from 46 balls last Monday – guiding Cobden Mortlake to 3-202.

Ritchie finished the innings unbeaten, having faced just 46 balls.

His time at the crease included a massive seven boundaries and seven sixes.

He was well supported on the scoreboard by team-mates Ryan Mottram with 37, Josh Slater with 28, Campbell Walsh 21 (not out) and Riley Kelly with five.

In reply, Merrivale was contained to 2/138.

Wickets fell to Cooper Herry, 1/16 off three overs, and Josh Slater 1/19 off four.

Cobden Mortlake will now face West Warrnambool tomorrow (Friday) in the grand final.
